Some girls like to arrange Journey badges to indicate that they belong to a set, but it is fine to simply start at the bottom hem of the vest and work your way up in rows. Skill-builder badges are always placed on the front of the vest along the hemline for all program age levels. Junior, Cadette, Senior and Ambassador scouts earn skill-builder First Aid badges. For every year completed, a star is placed on the uniform. The big thing to remember that nobody will get too riled up if things aren't perfect. Below the troop numbers, membership stars are placed in a row. They go underneath any cookie sale pins.
What Pins or Badges Carry Over to the New Vest or Sash When Girls Bridge? It will sit below membership pins and below any Journey pins, and above any individual Journey award or skill-builder badges. The Brownie Financial Literacy badges include Money Manager and Philanthropist. Awards such as the My Faith pin and the Leadership pin go below the Brownie wings if earned. They can also go on either or both sides of the vest, just like the Juniors do, I recommend starting the badges close to the bottom edge of the vest and working up, so that you have room for other insignia or Journey badges that your Girl Scout may earn. If by chance she does earn another set, place it below the first one. If you are still unsure, check the shape of the badge or patch. However, if it is one of the badges earned for Civic Engagement, Inside Government, Finding Common Ground, Behind the Ballot, or Public Policy, then it goes on the front. For girls ages 5 to 14, the unifying look is a tunic, vest, or sash combined with their own solid white shirts and khaki pants or skirts. Junior Badge Placement The Junior Girl Scout badge organization is similar to the Brownie, although there are different badges to place. Cookie badges are shaped like other Girl Scout badges - triangular, round, diamond, rectangular, or stylized square depending on grade level. Note that your troop may elect a different organization; this is acceptable if the area council approves it. Placement of the cookie pin is similar, on the Brownie vest or Cadette vest. If your Journey awards and badges don't fit on the front of your tunic or vest, you can wear them on the back.
The Silver Torch Award Pin, My Promise, My Faith Pins, and Cookie Sale Activity Pins are placed next. A crest is voted on by all troop members. Check the size and shape - if it is not the same size and shape as other earned badges, then it is likely a fun patch. Follow those with the Ambassador Journey Award Pins and Badges, Senior Journey Award Pins and Badges, and Cadette Journey Award Badges.
